Iran signals readiness to expand technological cooperation with Indonesia

The Head of Iran’s Organization for Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation, Hossein Rouzbeh, has underlined Iran’s preparedness to strengthen bilateral collaboration with Indonesia in health, agriculture, and artificial intelligence (AI).
During a meeting with Rulian Shah Sumirat, Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran, Rouzbeh described the relations between the two countries as deep, friendly, and brotherly.
He conveyed Iran’s commitment to developing cooperation with Indonesia at the highest possible level.
Rouzbeh expressed condolences for the recent natural disasters in Indonesia, highlighting Iran’s solidarity with its regional partners.
He noted that Iran’s vibrant science and technology ecosystem, supported by nearly 12,000 knowledge-based companies led by young specialists, has not only met domestic needs but is also ready for international collaboration.
The official identified health, agriculture, and AI as priority areas. In health, Iran is recognized globally in fields such as infertility treatment and is ready for technology transfer, joint production, and shared projects, including a potential joint infertility treatment center.
In agriculture, both countries have made significant advances in climate-adapted technologies and improved seed varieties.
In AI, Iran possesses a national platform and highly skilled professionals, offering broad opportunities for governmental, academic, and private-sector collaboration.
Rouzbeh concluded that the future of bilateral relations will be shaped through innovation and technology-driven cooperation.
