Over 600 knowledge-based firms boosted Iran’s defense industry

More than 600 knowledge-based companies have been working jointly with the Iranian Defense Ministry in the production of military and defense equipment.
Besides the Ministry, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has also benefited from the services of these firms in the field of cyberspace.
Currently, over 7,500 knowledge-based firms are active in the country and have taken great steps forward in line with the development of the Islamic Republic’s tech and innovation ecosystem.
The companies also created 400,000 jobs in the country and recorded sales of 200 billion tomans last Persian calendar year, which ended on March 20.
The activity of knowledge-based companies is considered as the driving force behind the economic growth in developing countries.
A knowledge-based economy leads to reduction of production costs, increase in productivity, improvement of product quality, competitiveness in global markets and reduction of the finished price of products at home.
