Iranian VP pledges support for manufacturers of technological products

Iranian Vice President for Technological and Scientific Affairs and Knowledge-based Economy Dehghani Firouzabadi says the second decade of government support concerns the era of exporting knowledge-based and hi-tech products. Hence, he added, the government will support networks engaged in the manufacture of hi-tech products. Dehghani Firouzabadi was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 10th Iran-made Laboratory Equipment and Materials Exhibition in Tehran.

He stressed that more than 300 knowledge-based and technological companies are taking part in the exhibition by putting on display upwards of 9,000 pieces of laboratory equipment. According to the Iranian VP, this is a sign of the country’s maturity and competence in the laboratory equipment and materials technologies. Dehghani Firouzabadi added that selling products worth over 1,300 billion tomans and saving $1.7bn indicate that the Iranian companies have coupled their technological capabilities with a growing sense of maturity in this field. The Iranian vice president underlined the need for paying attention to reports of international markets for Iranian-made laboratory equipment, saying Iran is ahead of many countries, even Europeans, in terms of quality and number of laboratory and workshop equipment in the country.
