Iran-made Laboratory Equipment and Materials Exhibition kicks off in Tehran

The Director of the 10th Iran-made Laboratory Equipment and Materials Exhibition, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti, says 9,000 pieces of laboratory equipment and materials are on display at the fair. 

Beheshti added that 12 technological products have also been unveiled at the exhibition. 

He made those comments while inaugurating the event in Tehran. Beheshti said over 300 companies have participated in the exhibition in the Iranian capital. 

The director of the exhibition noted that the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Health are two major buyers at the event. According to Beheshti, most of the equipment put on display is about physics, mechanics civil engineering and metallurgy.  

He also said level 1 knowledge-based products account for 7%, level 2 for 19%, and level 3 for 44% of the entire items on display in the fair. 

Beheshti stressed that the exhibition was created in cooperation with the Iran Design Center for the purpose of assessing the state of industrial design in the Islamic Republic of Iran and encouraging the manufacturers of laboratory equipment to use the industrial design process. 

According to the director of the exhibition, awards designated for the event go to laboratory and medical equipment, computer and information technology equipment, industrial and robotic machinery, innovation and technology space design, and soft technologies including creative industries, education and entertainment.
