Iran stands next to leading states in developing global nanotech standards

Iran has become one of the world’s five leading countries in developing and approving international nanotechnology standards.

The Islamic Republic made its way onto the list, thanks to the adoption of 151 national nanotechnology standards by the National Nanotechnology Standards Committee and 10 international standards in the International Standard Organization (ISO).

The Nanotechnology Development Headquarters of Iran’s Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy pays special attention to the issue of nanotech standards and safety in order to enable the relevant domestically-developed products to survive in the domestic market and enter the global markets for competition with foreign versions.

To achieve that goal, the Headquarters set up the Standard and Safety Group to pave the way for interactions with experts and specialized centers.
