Iran’s VP inaugurates 13th Nanotechnology Exhibition

Iran’s 13th Nanotechnology Exhibition kicked off on Saturday morning at Tehran’s international fair with the participation of over 160 manufacturing companies and nano-service providers.

People can visit the exhibition in halls 5, 6 and 44 from 8 AM to 3 PM.

The companies are active in a broad range of fields such as oil and energy, healthcare, water and environment, agriculture and packaging, auto industry, paint and coating, construction textiles, etc.

Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology Dr. Dehghani Firouzabadi said during the inauguration ceremony of the exposition that Iran has successful manufacturing models and that the nation can be proud of its standard manufacturing of nanotechnological products that have been produced with the help of knowledge-based companies.

He added that a big problem Iran faces is that the country is a seller of raw materials, noting that this issue needs to be resolved with the help of knowledge-based companies and competent youth.

Firouzabadi also stressed that Iran is a rich country in oil and mines but what brings added value is technology.

The vice president also said, “We should realize that a trade-based economy does not generate wealth…[hence] we are continuing to support and develop knowledge-based companies”.
