1,824 Iranian knowledge-based companies active in ICT, computer software

So far, 1,824 Iranian knowledge-based companies are estimated to be working in the field of information and communication technology and computer software in the country.

Out of the 1,824 knowledge-based companies, 108 are evaluated as Type 1, 1,465 Type 2, and 251 Type 3 by the working group for the evaluation of knowledge-based companies at the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy.
Type 2 and Type 3 include newly-formed knowledge-based companies and start-ups.
Given the emphasis laid by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the development of the activities of knowledge-based companies in the field of science and technology, the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy is trying to provide support to these companies.
