Turkish official: Sanctions taught Iranians to stand on their own feet
The head of Turkey’s Supreme Council of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Merchants has visited the 6th Iran Expo exhibition and the knowledge-based achievements of the Iran House of Innovation and Technology put on display at the event.
While visiting the booths of fisheries, agricultural machineries, construction products, medicine, etc., Erol Yarar said, “My top priority during my trip to Iran was to visit the EXPO exhibition and the IHIT”.
He added that in addition to being Turkey’s close friend and neighbor, Iran is highly capable in various areas of technology and innovation and expanding cooperation between the two sides can produce good results.
Later, Yarar visited the stand of the knowledge-based Asrar Poyai Sharq Company, which is the first and only manufacturer of glass greenhouses in Iran and the Middle East with four factories.
He also requested to visit the company’s plants.
He also welcomed the composite profiles produced by Composite Asia Knowledge-based Company, saying, “I own five steel companies in Turkey and for this reason I need to expand cooperation in this field”.
Yarar went on to say that in IHIT, he realized that Iran can have effective cooperation with Turkey in this field as well and that the sanctions have not disappointed the Iranian people, but has taught them to stand on their own feet.
