Iranian delegation visits Center for Advanced Studies in Havana

An Iranian delegation accompanying Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Rouhollah Dehghani in a trip to Cuba, visited the nanotechnology department of the Advanced Studies Center in the Cuban capital Havana and exchanged views on expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Dehghani and the accompanying delegation are  in Havana to take part in the G77+China Summit.

According to the Vice President’s Communication and Information Center, educational and research activities are carried out by using various Iranian devices in the center, which is responsible for the interdisciplinary development of nanotechnology in cooperation with other research institutions in Cuba. 

During the visit by the Iranian  delegation, the researchers of the center appreciated the quality of Iranian devices, including the atomic force microscope, and said their performance is on a par with similar American and European models.

Promoting scientific cooperation with third countries, increasing the use of Iranian laboratory products in Cuba, sending a specialized team to the Iran-Made Exhibition, and boosting Iran’s cooperation between knowledge-based companies and technology centers in Cuba were among the agreements reached during the visit.
