Algerian official says set to expand technological cooperation with Iranian knowledge-based firms

The head of Algeria’s Chamber of Commerce praised Iran’s technological progress on a tour of the Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT), saying Algerian companies are set to promote cooperation with their Iranian peers.

According to the Iranian vice president’s office for science, technology and knowledge-based economy’s Information Center, Kamal Himani said, “Visiting the iHiT increased the Algerian business delegation’s determination to develop cooperation with Iran.”

Himani headed the Algerian delegation to the Iran Expo 2024 in Tehran.

On the sidelines of a visit to the iHiT and the capabilities of the Iranian knowledge-based firms there, he said, “All parts were interesting to me, but the medical equipment section attracted my attention most.”

Algerians witnessed Iran’s readiness to transfer technology to the world and they were very surprised by the level of the readiness, according to Himani.

Among the Iranian achievements, the Algerian official pointed out, was a medical linear accelerator machine, whose technology was solely possessed by the US and Britain in the past.

Himani said Iran shattered the Western monopoly by producing the device at one-third of the costs.
