Iranian Science Foundation, IIASA issues call for postdoctoral fellowship program

Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) have launched a program for qualified researchers for postdoctoral fellowship.

The program will fund researchers for interdisciplinary research in the fields of environment, energy, ecology, natural resources, demography, and research methods in systems analysis.

Postdoctoral candidates are required to divide their research time in priority areas between INSF and IIASA, based in the Austrian city of Laxenburg, for 12 months, which is extendable for another 12 months.

Researchers need to have a supervisor in Iran and at least one supervisor in IIASA Institute, with continuous interaction with both sides.

Iranian nationals who have finished a PhD program in a reputable academic center in Iran can apply for the program, but the graduation date for the candidates should not be more than five years.

Tenured university staff and those who are in the process of being hired for an academic position are barred from applying for the program.
