Capability of rapid diagnosis of virus and detection of narcotics using gold nano-particles kit

The researchers at Zist Abzar Pajoohan Company used nanoparticles in their diagnostic kits to detect viruses, narcotic compounds, hormones, hepatitis and the Coronavirus. These researchers maintain that this has led to more accurate and faster diagnosis and has decreased production costs.

ISNA cited Keyvan Dabir, a manager at the technological company as saying the advantages of using nanoparticles in the rapid diagnosis and detection kits include: decreasing the response time, increasing the detection accuracy, enhancing the quality and reducing the cost of the kit production.
Dabir noted that antibodies and proteins are usually used in rapid detection kits, but because proteins are colorless and are difficult to see with the naked eye, other compounds need to be used as well.
He said, “Until recently, companies used labeled antibodies to this end, but these are imported from foreign countries and have little stability and, therefore, they must be used quickly”.
Dabir went on to say that the accuracy of these antibodies is low, “so we decided to use gold nanoparticles to solve this problem. Using the nanoparticles removes the need for antibodies and gold nanoparticles also have other advantages such as boosting the accuracy and detection limit as well as decreasing the response time.”
Dabir said the company has managed to produce four main groups of the kits that include hormone detection, detection of chemicals such as narcotics, detection of viruses like HIV, and detection of heavy metals and toxins in foods and water. In the first group, we have Beta HCG diagnostic kits, known as Bibichek in pharmacies. “In this group”, he added, “we have the Beta HCG diagnostic kit, which is known as baby check and is capable of detecting”.
Dabir also said the company has produced the LH diagnostic kit that detects ovulation hormone. This kit is so vital for detecting the ovulation cycle.
The manager at Zist Abzar Pajoohan Company also said that in the drug detection kits section, the firm has 5 main groups that include detection of morphine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, methadone and THC. Accordingly, the kits come in strips or panels and can simultaneously detect. Moreover, they can detect 3, 5 and even 12 types of narcotics at once. Most drug detection laboratories want these types of kits.
“In the infection detection section, the company has manufactured kits for detecting HIV, hepatitis and Covid”, Dabir said.

The Nano Headquarters quoted him as saying that an antibody was put on the gold nanoparticles in the pregnancy diagnostic kit. Dabir maintains that through passing the sample through the gold nanoparticles attached to the antibody, the HCG sticks to the antibody from the alpha chain and gets trapped.

Dabir further explained that an antibody is placed on the test strip against the beta chain. Through passing the analyte containing nanoparticles that stick to HCG from above the anti-beta antibody, he said, this antibody also sticks to the HCG and the color of the test strip is on.

Dabir said another product of Zist Abzar Pajoohan Company is a cardiac marker detection kit that is used for early detection of heart attack in patients. He introduced H.Phlori as another diagnostic kit of the company that detects one of the most common causes of gastrointestinal diseases. “We also developed residual diagnostic kits for toxins and drugs in food and also a kit for the diagnosis of malachite green that was ordered by the Fruit and Vegetable Organization”, the manager said.
According to Dabir, this kit is capable of measuring the level of malachite green in sea animals. The substance is added for detoxification purposes to the environment where fish, especially salmon, grow. The substance is toxic for the human body.
