Abdominal wound closure kit produced by Iranian knowledge-based company

A knowledge-based Iranian company has succeeded in producing the first open abdominal wound closure kit in the room by designing and producing advanced medical equipment.
According to the Communication and Information Center of the office of the vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy, in 2008, Paya Medical Equipment Engineering Company established itself as one of the manufacturers of advanced medical devices for wound dressing and healing.
The company made the first generation of vacuum wound therapy devices and, with more than a decade of efforts, it has successfully produced the best and most diverse NPWT devices in accordance with the world’s modern technology standards in various models and applications along with related auxiliary equipment.
As a result, the Iranian company has ended the monopoly of American and European companies in this field.
Ms. Mina Lakian Marnani, CEO of the knowledge-based company, said the presence of secretions and exudates as well as excessive swelling in the abdominal area is one of the problems that surgeons face in open abdominal wounds in the operating room.
She added that these wounds make it difficult to suture the fascia and skin of the abdomen.
Lakian described Abdouk Kit as one of the knowledge-based achievements of the company, saying, “ Our solution is to use this dressing to make it easier to close the abdomen and reduce the duration of the treatment process by a third”.
