Iran’s international programming contest offers over $40,000 in prizes

Iran’s Sharif University of Technology, with support from the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, is hosting the international Rayan Programming Contest.
The competition aims to enhance technical skills, foster teamwork, create job opportunities, promote engineering and computer science, encourage enthusiasm among students and enthusiasts, solve industrial challenges, and establish scientific authority in the region.
Preparations have been made for 15,000 participants from more than 70 countries to compete in the event.
The preliminary stage, known as the Warm-Up round, began on October 22 and will run until November 20. The final stage will occur in May 2025 in Tehran. In this phase, 60 top Iranian programmers, selected through the Rayan Cup and national and regional programming contests, and 40 top participants from the qualifying contest will compete.
