Medicinal plants market booming thanks to 192 knowledge-based companies

The entry of knowledge-based companies into various fields has helped Iran meet domestic needs. This has enabled the country to not depend on the global markets and to benefit from its own capabilities. 

The advantages of using technology and innovation in industries include improvement of performance, an increase in the quantity and quality of manufactured products, and optimal use of tools and machinery. 

All this connects knowledge and expertise to industries, thus enhancing their productivity. 

Iran’s technology and innovation ecosystem was established to attain this aim. The ecosystem revolutionized methods of meeting needs and caused the domestic market to boom. 

Hence, a host of products previously supplied from global markets at high costs in the face of many adversities such as sanctions are now produced by Iranian manufacturers who spend less time and money and their products have the same quality as foreign ones. 

Medicinal plants are among products produced by domestic experts. The field today benefits from the expertise of 800 companies that include 190 knowledge-based ones.
