Iran’s scientific vice president: Boosting nano exports “key goal of Nano Vision 2033”

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy has underscored pursuing the goals outlined in the Nano Vision 2033, explaining that increasing exports is the key goal.
Hossein Afshin made the remarks during his visit to the 15th Iran Nano and Micro Technology Exhibition.
He said two key objectives of the vision are achieving a market share growth exceeding inflation by 30 percent, a target met last year with a 100 percent increase and ensuring that nano product exports constitute 15 percent of the total market share, which currently stands at 9.1 percent.
Afshin noted that the nano industry market reached approximately 60 trillion rials last year, doubling from the previous year.
Despite receiving around 8 trillion rials in support over the past two decades, the industry’s current market value reflects a full return on investment, the vice president boasted.
He asserted that continued support and facilities from the vice presidency would further expand the market, reducing reliance on imports and boosting economic revenue.
Afshin expressed optimism that health and agriculture, specifically chemical fertilizers and nanobubbles, can drive significant agricultural advancements and address energy production and imbalance.
