The 25th International Student Programming Contest for the West Asia region will take place on December 20 and 21, hosted by Sharif University of Technology. According to Mohammad Amin Ahmadlou, Deputy of the Digital Knowledge-Based Economy Headquarters, the contest aims to enhance technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork among students.

Ahmadlou stressed that the competition  also seeks to attract young talents and promote engineering and computer sciences.

The preliminary round, he noted, will be conducted in person, marking a significant step in nurturing young talents in this field.

Ahmadlou underlined the importance of thorough preparation for students before participating in the intense competition.

He added that these courses, held in two sessions earlier this year, cover essential topics such as competitive programming fundamentals, data structures, string processing techniques, and basic graph algorithms.

Ahmadlou noted that the educational initiatives are expected to significantly elevate students’ knowledge and skills and prepare new generation of skilled programmers for professional fields in information technology and artificial intelligence .
