Iranian company to advance wound care with nanotechnology

An Iranian pioneer in nanotechnology, Kitotech, has developed cutting-edge products like Silvosept and KitoHem to combat infections and manage severe bleeding.

These advanced solutions, featuring high efficacy and proven safety, are transforming wound care and infection control.

According to the information center of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Kitotech leverages nanotechnology and biocompatible materials to produce globally recognized medical and hygiene products. Their portfolio spans disinfectants, hemostatic agents, and bioactive wound dressings, gaining prominence in both domestic and international markets.

Kitotech’s Silvosept disinfectants utilize nanocolloidal silver technology to eliminate a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria and fungi.

Meanwhile, their hemostatic products effectively control severe bleeding, even in patients with coagulation disorders like hemophilia, without causing cytotoxicity, irritation, or allergic reactions.

Clinical studies validate the efficacy of these solutions per global standards.

Kitotech has also introduced bioactive wound dressings based on chitosan, which accelerate healing by activating immune cells and repair factors.

These dressings maintain optimal moisture, reducing healing time by up to 70%, and are suitable for acute and chronic wounds.

Compliant with rigorous safety and quality standards, Kitotech’s products are well-received internationally, reducing treatment costs, hospitalization durations, and improving healthcare services.
