Iranian VP advisor: Scientific collaboration key to empowering women in Iran, China

An advisor for women’s affairs to Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy has emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and China to empower women.
According to a report by the Communications and Information Center of the Vice-Presidency, Khadijeh Joda made the remarks during the fifth round of Iran-China women’s dialogues, held on Monday and organized by Iran’s Alzahra University and China Women’s University.
The event aimed to enhance cultural and scientific collaboration, providing a platform for knowledge exchanges.
Joda highlighted the role of women as innovators and producers of technology, noting that diversity in teams boosts innovation and sustainable outcomes in scientific projects.
She proposed three initiatives to empower women: establishing joint innovation centers in Iran and China, creating scientific exchange programs, and facilitating collaborative projects in clean energy, renewable technologies, and digital health.
The Iranian advisor argued that these efforts would provide platforms for research, development, and knowledge sharing.
During their visit, the Chinese delegation toured women-led employment and entrepreneurship centers in Tehran, as well as facilities at the University of Tehran, including its library, Family Sciences Faculty, and School of World Studies and Languages.
