Iranian animation studio gains global footprint with 90% export rate

An Iranian animation production company has emerged as a success story in international markets, with 90% of its output now reaching audiences across Russia, India, Germany, the US and Canada, according to a report from the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.
Royapardazan Novin Karafarin, operating from Tehran’s Science and Technology Park for Soft Industries and Cultural Productions, has transformed local creative talent into a thriving export business.
The studio specializes in producing animated content ranging from short films to feature-length productions and television series.
Its recent collaboration with Austrian partners generated $15,000 in revenue, demonstrating the growing international appetite for Iranian animation.
CEO Elham Naderi Farid attributes the success to the country’s pool of creative talent and the studio’s commitment to production quality, which has overcome geopolitical barriers to find global buyers.
The company’s achievements highlight the potential of Iran’s creative economy to diversify export revenues beyond traditional sectors, she pointed out.
