Iran announces 2-trillion-rial support package for war-affected tech firms

In response to the recent 12-day imposed war, Iran’s Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy has unveiled special support programs for knowledge-based companies affected by the conflict.
According to the Communications and Information Center of the Vice Presidency, the initiative, developed in cooperation with the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, aims to preserve the capabilities and operations of these firms.
The new relief plan includes two distinct support packages. Mohammad Reza Kashfi Neyshabouri, Deputy for Management Development and Investment Attraction, stated that the first package allocates a total of 2 trillion rials (approximately $2.5 million) exclusively to certified knowledge-based companies that held the official designation both during the conflict and at the time of application.
Kashfi Neyshabouri added that eligible companies are those that suffered damage to infrastructure, raw materials, finished or semi-finished products, experienced severe drops in sales, payroll issues, or other related losses.
