Iranian knowledge-based company pioneers advanced dental and surgical burs production

A knowledge-based Iranian company has successfully localized and mass-produced diamond burs for dentistry and ENT surgery, achieving quality on par with foreign products at competitive prices. Leveraging advanced Plasma-Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (PACVD) technology, the company applies ultra-hard nano-structured coatings to enhance tool hardness, wear resistance, and lifespan.

This capability has enabled Almas Tak Aria Alborz Company to address a key challenge in precision medical and industrial equipment.
Diamond burs are essential for precise cutting and grinding in dental and surgical procedures.
Iran used to be reliant on imports of diamond burs and would spend millions of dollars  annually on the dental tools.
Now the domestic production by Almas Tak Aria Alborz not only reduces dependency but also strengthens the national medical tools sector.
Current output stands at 3,000 burs per day, but capacity is supposed to scale to 6,000–10,000 in the near future.
Lower prices and consistent quality have driven strong domestic demand, and the company now aims to enter export markets. With cutting-edge technology, competitive pricing, and growing capacity, the Iranian knowledge-based company is poised to become a regional leader in medical and industrial precision tools.
Thus, Almas Tak Aria Alborz will be able to help with job creation, self-sufficiency, and Iran’s medical technology growth.
