‘Connect’ platform links Iranian experts worldwide to drive knowledge exchange and innovation

The Iranian deputy for scientific relations and human capital development at the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation highlighted the growing impact of the “Connect” platform in uniting Iranian experts at home and abroad.
Speaking at a meeting of returning Iranian experts, Seyed Ali Hosseini said the platform has become an effective hub for sharing experience, fostering innovation, and supporting the return of Iranian specialists.
He noted that more than 11,000 Iranian specialists are now members of the platform, which facilitates scientific collaboration, technology transfer, and knowledge exchanges.
The official also pointed out over 300 technology-driven, creative, and knowledge-based companies have been founded so far by returning experts through this initiative.
He said these companies operate in diverse fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, stem cells, renewable energy, advanced materials, nanotechnology, education, and creative industries, contributing to the country’s growing knowledge-based economy.
Hosseini emphasized that “Connect” aims to ease the reintegration of returning experts into national priority projects by linking them with research institutions and industrial partners.
He added that broader participation from non-resident Iranian professionals will help form a global network of Iranian knowledge and expertise, advancing innovation and the knowledge-based economy.
