Iran highlights Eurasian market opportunities at 15th “Equal Opportunity” export development event

The 15th edition of the “Equal Opportunity” internationalization camp for knowledge-based and creative companies was held in the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, central Iran, focusing on export development and emerging opportunities in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) market.

According to the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the one-day program brought together senior managers, technology firms, foreign trade experts and regional representatives.

The event aimed to strengthen export readiness, outline practical international trade pathways and present detailed prospects in the Eurasian market.

In the keynote session, the Deputy for International Business Development at the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Salman Rostami, outlined new export-facilitation measures, including finalizing preferential foreign-exchange settlement mechanisms, expanding the overseas Innovation Houses network, and using the Connect-Plus program to engage global talent.

He described the EAEU as a reliable platform for scaling high-tech exports.

Officials from relevant agencies presented support frameworks ranging from export-readiness assessments and international standards to overseas exhibitions, trade delegations and targeted promotional tools.

Isfahan Science and Technology Town also highlighted its international cooperation network, including partnerships with China, Turkey, France and Malaysia, as well as UNESCO’s IRIS center.

Speakers noted that tariff reductions covering 87% of HS codes under the Iran-EAEU agreement have boosted bilateral trade significantly, creating new openings for Iranian technology exporters.
