Official: Knowledge-based companies help realize healthy environment

Iranian Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi says technological and knowledge-based companies can help realize a sustainable healthy environment in the country.

Addressing an event at the 20th International Environment Exhibition, he said all human activities in diffident areas serve the ultimate goal of paving the way for a better life, and such a life can only be lived in a healthy, green, peaceful and progressive environment.
The damage caused by humans to the environment over the years can be undone by relying on the innovation and technology developed by knowledge-based companies, he added.
“The environment offers many opportunities for employment and value creation. Many innovative and knowledge-based businesses are focused on the environment, because many environmental problems have no solution other than innovative methods,” he said.
The priority, he added, should be overcoming the challenges facing the environment through innovation and creativity.
