Rouhollah Dehghani, the Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Iran’s late President, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, and his companions.

The message reads as follows:

The bitter news of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the leader of the martyrs of service, and his dedicated companions, after hours of anxious waiting, has inflicted immense pain and sorrow upon the worried and hopeful hearts of the Iranian people.

Our diligent, compassionate, and hardworking President of Islamic Iran, who served with humility and simplicity, embodying a spirit of jihad, a commitment to justice, and a fight against crruption, stood at the forefront of serving the people.

Reminiscent of Beheshti, Rajaei, and other martyr comrades, he received the sweet reward of martyrdom on the blessed night of Imam Reza’s birth after a lifetime of faith, struggle, and service.

I extend my heartfelt condolences on the tragic martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi, the leader of the deprived and the martyrs of service, a steadfast supporter of the country’s science and technology ecosystem; Hojjatoleslam Al-e-Hashem, the representative of the Supreme Leader in East Azarbaijan and the popular Friday prayer leader of Tabriz; my dear brother Hossein Amiradollahian, the wise and revolutionary Foreign Minister; Malek Rahmati, the committed and popular Governor of East Azerbaijan; and other companions of the President on the flight to Hazrat Wali’ Asr [Imam Mahdi] (A.S), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the great nation of Iran.

I pray for the highest ranks and union with the saints for those noble servants and for patience and health for their grieving families.

In these difficult and excruciating moments, we pledge to the pure spirits of the martyrs of service and their companions that, emulating the tireless spirit of the great servant of the nation, we will continue his honourable path with steadfast steps, ensuring that the course of dedicated service and diligent management remains uninterrupted.
