Iran holds 1st Connect Forum scientific, technological event

Iranian experts and technologists in the field of medicine, medical, dental and laboratory equipment who have the experience of working in other countries held a meeting dubbed Connect Forum, at Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT).
Seyyed Ali Hosseini, the head of the Organization for Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation that organized the meeting, delivered a speech to the audience and inaugurated the event.
Hosseini said the forum’s objective is to create a network of communication between the experts and universities, research institutes and knowledge-based companies in Iran.
He added about 9,000 experts and graduates of the world’s top universities, as well as people who work in leading companies in the world, have participated in the network since it was launched seven years ago.
Mohammad Reza Kompani Saeid, the CEO of Bartar Electronics company that specializes in medical care equipment, said the country has reached self-sufficiency in terms of the general equipment, adding it needs more support to reach the same level for specialized and highly specialized facilities.
Reza Yaghoubzadeh, the founder and president of the Pooyandegan Rah Saadat Company, also addressed the meeting, saying medical equipment is a leading industry in Iran which stands out among other countries.
Meanwhile, Alireza Mir Bagheri, the director of the Sina Robotics and Medical Innovators Company gave a lecture on Iran’s achievements in manufacturing surgical robots and other products in the field.
