Iranian president calls on scientific, academic elites to stay in Iran and solve problems

Iranian President has urged scientific and academic elites to not migrate to foreign countries.
Speaking at the 14th National Conference of Elites, Pezeshkian said, “If you consider yourselves elites, stay in Iran and solve its problems. In order to solve Iran’s problems, we must look for those who know, can and want, because wherever there is a will, there is a way”.
He added that Iran belongs to all people including the scientific and academic elites who, he said, must think of ways to solve their country’s challenges.
The president stated that he himself decided to study medicine and gain expertise in order to help solve some of the problems of the people.
Pezeshkian also said no one else is going to find a solution for the problems of Iran and “we have to do it ourselves”, noting that if someone understands this point, they will find a solution, and if they fail in doing so, they will make a way to help the people and resolve their predicament. The president stressed, “We should teach others how to be and how to live with our behavior, not by force and exclusion and negative actions”, adding that if Iranian elites present an example of a creative, knowledgeable and capable people to the society, others also want to follow suit, but it is impossible to change the society through force.
