Iranian researchers develop mesotherapy solution for skin rejuvenation

Researchers from an Iranian knowledge-based company have successfully developed and introduced a mesotherapy solution for skin rejuvenation.
Alireza Firooz, head of the Skin and Leprosy Research Center at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the clinical study director for the product, announced that the injectable solution contains about 40 types of vitamins, amino acids, and essential minerals for skin cell health.
Firooz explained that the nutritious solution, which has a treatment duration of approximately two months, has received approval from the Iranian Food and Drug Administration.
“We evaluated the skin variables of the clinical study volunteers in several stages, and the results showed positive changes in the skin and the noticeable impact of the skin rejuvenation product,” he said.
Firooz noted that laboratory assessments at the Skin Research Center of TUMS indicated increased skin hydration, repair and regeneration of skin barrier cells to reduce interstitial water evaporation and retain moisture, as well as improved softness and smoothness.
He added, “Similar products exist in some countries, but there is no comparable product with such a variety and number of ingredients among the domestically produced items.”
“Fortunately, in recent years, especially after the escalation of sanctions, an opportunity arose for Iranian producers to focus more on the development of skincare, haircare, and beauty products,” he concluded.
