Iranian VP for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy meets with parliament speaker

Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy Hossein Afshin has held separate meetings with the Iranian parliament speaker and the chair of the integration commission of the legislative body. 

In the meetings, Afshin underlined the need for close interaction between his office and parliament. 

One of the most important events in the science and technology ecosystem of Iran is the approval of the Law on Leapfrogging Knowledge-based Production. 

Through the law, which was the result of the interaction between parliament and the government, different sectors of Iran, including universities, industries, and knowledge-based companies, came together to improve the scientific and technological ecosystem. 

The meetings between Vice President Hossein Afshin and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghibaf as well as Chair of the Integration Commission of Parliament Gholamreza Tajgardoun were held for the purpose of expanding cooperation between parliament and the government so that the government particularly the office of the vice president can fulfill its mission to supervise, regulate and facilitate the activities of the scientific and technological ecosystem of Iran.
