Iranian VP underlines need for consolidation of different sections of Quantum technologies

In a recent meeting of the Quantum Technology Leadership Council, chaired by Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, participants underlined the necessity of fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in the quantum technology sector.
The meeting was the fourth session of the Quantum Technology Leadership Council which focused on reviewing recent developments and the strategic importance of advancing quantum technologies globally.
Afshin highlighted the rapid progress in quantum technology and the need for Iran to make significant advancements in this field.
He expressed the commitment of the scientific vice presidency to act as a connector among different segments of the national quantum technology chain.
A key priority discussed was the training of specialized human resources in quantum fields, with an announcement regarding a call for support from the National Science Foundation for teaching quantum sciences in relevant disciplines.
The Quantum Technology Leadership Council also addressed topics such as defining megaprojects in quantum technology, designing specialized laboratories, and how to support innovative projects.
Additionally, a list of these and other projects related to quantum technology was analyzed. This initiative aims to create an interactive environment that facilitates cooperation among various entities involved in transforming scientific research into valuable technological applications.
