Iran’s vice presidency awards AI-powered films at 43rd fajr film festival

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy announced that the films Moses, the Speaker of God (Musa Kalimollah) and The Hunter (Sayyad) have won the special award for AI application in cinema.
As the 43rd Fajr Film Festival came to an end in Tehran, Hossein Afshinhig hlighted the importance of aligning Iranian cinema with global technological advancements.
He emphasized the Vice Presidency’s commitment to supporting selected festival entries that incorporated artificial intelligence in their production process.
Afshin expressed satisfaction with the increasing integration of cutting-edge technologies in Iranian cinema, stating that AI and augmented reality have become essential tools in the global film industry.
He stressed that Iran must sustain this technological leap in filmmaking to maintain its competitive edge.
Following an expert review of the films in the Soday-e Simorgh competition section, the Vice Presidency awarded its special AI technology prize to Moses, the Speaker of God and The Hunter for their innovative use of AI and augmented reality.
The awards will be officially presented to the AI teams of these films in a dedicated ceremony at the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.
