Launching Iran-Russia Joint Technological Center

Given that Russia has a high potential in the fields of science, technology and innovation and that Iranian knowledge-based companies are interested in expanding technological cooperation with their Russian peers in transferring and purchasing technology and exporting their hi-tech products and services to Russia, the Iran-Russia Joint Technological Center was established in the Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg.

The Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg is one of the most prestigious universities of Russia and has close links with industries and different fields of advanced international technology.
The Iran-Russia Joint Technological Center has an independent management office and several joint halls for seminars, meetings, joint and specialized B-2-B courses for technological and knowledge-based companies to enter the Russian market. It also supports the definition of joint technology projects between universities and technology centers of Iran and Russia.
The most important services of this center include: facilitating the transfer and exchange of technology between Iranian and Russian companies; exporting hi-tech products of Iranian companies to Russia and vice versa; paving the way for joint meetings between Russian and Iranian companies; marketing hi-tech products of knowledge-based companies and offering legal services for conclusion of contracts; registering patents and obtaining required certificates; holding short and long specialized courses and technology tours for Iranian hi-tech companies and specialists to make it easy for them to work in the Russian market; developing long-term research programs in fields that have priority; etc.
It should be pointed out that the Center’s activities are not limited to the Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg and the university in fact plays a leadership role in this regard and introduces the possibilities of the different technological and industrial spheres of Russia.
Meanwhile, in order to use the capacity of the center, a delegation sent by the Iranian vice president for science and technology earlier this month visited the infrastructure of the Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg and the Iran-Russia Joint Technological Center to become familiar with the country’s possibilities in the field of stem cells and its short-term specialized courses for experts and technological companies working in this field.
The two sides then agreed on a short-term specialized course in the field of stem cells and reconstructive medicine for Iranian experts and knowledge-based companies at Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg.
