Iranian VP: Let’s help boost agriculture sector by supporting businesses

Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy  Rouhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi says the government’s potential to attract all the graduates of agriculture is limited but efforts must be made to support the creation of businesses in order to develop this ecosystem. Dehghani Firouzabadi highlighted the importance of strengthening Iran’s agriculture sector with the help of the private sector, noting that agriculture is a key industry and that he will seriously pursue efforts to introduce technology and innovation in the field. 

The Iranian vice president also said many of the world’s biggest investors such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are buying agricultural land as they have realized that the world’s future will be decided by agriculture and food security. 

Dehghani Firouzabadi stressed that the Iranian government will definitely use young startup teams and innovators as well as knowledge-based companies specializing in agriculture to achieve its goals.
