Iran and Nicaragua expanding scientific cooperation

Head of Tehran University Science and Technology Park Ali Assadi tells Nicaragua’s Ambassaor to Tehran Isaac Lenin Bravo Jaen that knowledge-based companies are a positive factor in making sanctions ineffective. 

Assadi and the Nicaraguan ambassador met at the Scientific and Technological Park in Tehran. 

Assadi added that the park has the potential to develop its activities in a wide range of scientific and specialized fields with universities of Nicaragua and the country’s government. 

He noted that for this purpose, the Iranian side is ready to sign a memorandum of understanding with the National University of Nicaragua’s Science and Technology Park. 

He added Tehran and Managua as well as the owners of their knowledge-based companies and businesses have a great opportunity to be present in each other’s markets. 

Assadi added that Iran believes expansion of relations between Iran and Nicaragua in science and technology can help deepen all-out relations. 

The Nicaraguan ambassador to Tehran for his part said ties between Iran and Latin American countries including Nicaragua have been strengthened during Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s tenure. 

Isaac Lenin Bravo Jaen added Nicaragua is interested in creating a joint scientific and technological commission with Iran.
