Cuban president, officials visit Iranian knowledge-based companies’ stand in Havana intl. exhibit

High-ranking officials in Cuba, including President Miguel Díaz-Canel, have taken a tour of the stand of Iranian knowledge-based companies that took part at the Havana International Fair FIHAV 2023 in the Cuban capital. 

The Cuban president, accompanied by the country’s deputy prime minister, foreign trade and foreign investment minister, as well as a number of other officials, expressed gratitude to Iranian companies for taking part in the event, and added Havana is ready to facilitate the import of Iranian goods. 

The Iranian companies, mainly active in the fields of information technology and infrastructure, renewable energies, and biotechnology participated in the event under the auspices of Iran’s Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy. 

844 Cuban and foreign companies, from 63 countries, took part in the 39th edition of the international exhibition that was held from November 6 to 11.
