Minister: Knowledge-based firms, right path towards innovation in Iran’s industry

Iran’s minister of industry, mines, and trade has underlined the significance of making industries smart and innovative, saying such a goal can only be achieved through empowering knowledge-based companies.

Abbas Ali Abadi made the remarks in the ceremony held for signing four major agreements for the development of copper and steel mining technologies with Iranian companies, the information center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.

Ali Abadi also called on knowledge-based firms to devise innovative strategies to find new markets as a guideline for their future activities.

“We need to lead the world through innovation and intelligence, as intelligent leadership is more important than intelligence,” he noted.

The minister added Iran is seeking to link knowledge-based industries with the small industries in the country in order to use the capacities of large industries to tackle the problems and pave the ground for the future as the following step.
