Iran to transfer technology in various fields to Uzbekistan

An Uzbek delegation has traveled to Iran to facilitate the transfer of the Iranian technological knowhow in various fields, including agriculture and drones، to the central Asian country.

Amir Hossein Mirabadi, the caretaker of the Center for International Scientific and Technologival Interactions, affiliated with the Iranian Vice President’s Office for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy said the two countries have made an agreement to take part in each other’s technological events in order to step up interaction.

The visit by the Uzbek delegation during the New Year holidays shows the Uzbek government’s “strong determination” to promote scientific and technological cooperation with Iran, he argued.

Mirabadi said Iran has invited delegations from several other countries to visit the permanent exhibition of Iran Sakht (Iran-made) and that the Uzbek delegation was prominent because of the previous agreements with Tashkent.

“The delegations will talk with the knowledge-based companies that are present at the Iran Sakht exhibition, and facilitate the cooperation to meet their needs,” the Iranian official said, adding, “What’s more, on the sidelines of the trip, they will communicate with a number of Iranian universities so that they can develop their scientific cooperation.”
