Iran unveils roadmap, platform for export of industrial machinery and equipment

The Iranian vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy unveiled a roadmap for the development of exports as well as a specialized export platform for home-made industrial machinery and equipment.

Rouhollah Dehghani unveiled the achievements in the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, saying machinery and equipment industry is the mother of all industries.

The Iranian Oil Industry Equipment Manufacturers Association contributed to the creation of the platform by conducting an extensive study on the markets of the target countries, regulations and tariffs, the market needs, as well as capabilities of the country’s production units in order to help set the road map.

The Iranian vice president called on all parties involved to do their utmost to shore up the country’s spare parts, equipment, and machine manufacturing industries in order to pave their path to international markets.

He said Iran has a set a vision to help the machine manufacturing industry have at least a 30-percent contribution to Iranian knowledge-based companies’ exports.
