“Iran ready to define joint projects with Indonesia”

The head of Iran’s center for International Interactions of the office of Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy has held talks with Indonesia’s deputy health minister over ways of implementing agreements on provision of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals by Iran for the southeast Asian country.

The negotiations between Amir Hossein Mirabadi and the Indonesian official happened during an online meeting.
Mirabadi referred to the launching of the Iranian robotic surgeon, named Sina, in a clinic in the Indonesian city of Bandong, saying the use of the robot is only one symbol of cooperation between the two countries.
He added that technological cooperation between Iran and Indonesia will further expand.
Also, Mirabadi underlined Iran’s readiness to define joint projects between Iranian and Indonesian companies in order to strengthen scientific and technological relations between the two countries.
A committee has been formed to pursue the agreements signed during Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Indonesia.
Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy accompanied President Raisi in this trip.
Under the agreements made during the visit, it was decided to set up two joint companies in cooperation with Iranian knowledge-based companies, to supply medicine and medical equipment needed by Indonesian hospitals and medical centers.
