Vice president: Big horizons can open for Iranian health-related companies

Iran’s vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy says the Iranian companies producing health-related products can take bigger strides in case the current hurdles are removed.

Addressing the audience in the opening ceremony of Iran’s medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and laboratory equipment exhibition, Iran Health Expo 2024, on Saturday in the capital Tehran, Rouhollah Dehghani praised the government for its support for Iranian knowledge-based companies but added increasing the support can open up new horizons.

He called for a strategy to facilitate synergy between the companies, explaining that the major achievements of Iranian companies go unnoticed in international markets because they work like scattered islands, “otherwise Iran Health can be bigger than Arab Health.”

The vice president underlined that security and health have been the two pillars in the policies of various Iranian administrations during the past decades, which today have huge infrastructural capacity and strong support program.

Supporting medical and health equipment investors can bring about major developments and catapult Iran next to the major countries active in the field of knowledge-based health economy, Dehghani said.
