Official: Iran Expo 2025 facilitates international partnerships for knowledge-based companies

Iran Expo 2025, the country’s largest export exhibition inaugurated on Monday, has created a strategic platform for Iranian knowledge-based companies to connect with international counterparts, according to Maryam Abolhassani, the head of International Business Development at the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Organization.

The event, running through Friday in Tehran, features pavilions showcasing Iran’s advanced technological achievements, the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.

A specialized pavilion in the Persian Gulf Hall hosts 10 selected export-ready knowledge-based companies, while another hall displays innovations across information technology, medical equipment, modern agriculture, and renewable energy sectors.

The International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Organization, through its executive arm i-Hit, is facilitating business matchmaking efforts.

Abolhassani revealed that 70% of accommodation and transportation costs for foreign delegations seeking partnerships with Iranian tech firms are being covered by her organization.

The exhibition’s sidelines feature specialized programs including B2B meetings between Iranian and international companies, educational workshops on technology diplomacy, product demonstration panels, specialized tours for economic delegations, and signing ceremonies for cooperation agreements.

Notably, the Iran-Africa meeting includes dedicated B2B panels where knowledge-based companies can present their capabilities to visiting delegations from 106 countries.
