Iran VP: Serious efforts underway to supply tech-related services, products to global markets

Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Ruhollah Dehghani says the organization under his watch is seriously pursuing an agenda to supply technology-related services and products to both the country’s different sectors and international markets.

Dehghani said goal-oriented and market-oriented activities have specific customers, but that is not the case with supply-oriented activities, for which the Vice Presidency is following up on plans to provide services and products to domestic institutions and the global markets.

The vice president was speaking during a ceremony to pay tribute to selected researchers and technologists at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran.

He highlighted the significant role of Sharif University in resolving complicated technological issues in the country.

The vice president described Sharif University as the frontline of the country’s technological development.

The university, he added, ranks first when it comes to contracts for relations with the industrial sector. In addition, the innovation zone formed around the university is quite active in the market, the senior official added.
