Localization of a medical imaging device with a higher quality than foreign models
The knowledge-based company “Persia Radiology” announced the production and localization of the Aspect General nuclear medical imaging device; a device that, according to company officials, competes with foreign models in terms of image quality and performance accuracy and even performs better in some indicators.
According to the Communication and Information Center of the Presidential Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Sepideh Ebrahimi, Head of Sales at Persia Radiology, referring to the activities of this complex in the field of advanced medical equipment, said: This company is a manufacturer of nuclear medical imaging devices in the country; products that are classified as high-tech equipment and use complex and advanced technologies.
Introducing the “Aspect General” device as one of the company’s newest products, he stated: This device is equipped with two detectors, which significantly increases the quality and accuracy of images. Its mechanical design is also designed to provide greater comfort for patients with high weight or special conditions.
Ebrahimi stated that the performance of this device is similar to reputable global brands such as Siemens and GE, adding: In comparisons, images recorded by the domestic model have shown better results than some foreign models in terms of clarity and accuracy of performance.
According to him, this system allows doctors to diagnose diseases more accurately through functional imaging of body tissues and organs.
The sales manager of Parto Negar Persia Company explained how the device works: In the imaging process, radiopharmaceuticals such as “Technium-99” are injected into the patient’s body. Then, the device’s detectors rotate around the body, recording information related to tissue function. The data obtained is analyzed and processed by user-friendly software designed by the Iranian team.
Regarding the price of this product, Ebrahimi also said: While similar foreign models cost between 350 and 400 thousand euros, the domestically produced device is offered at a price of about 250 to 300 thousand euros and at the same time is technically competitive with international brands.
He concluded by noting: So far, the company’s “Aspect Qalbi” device has been installed and operated in 9 of the country’s most frequently visited medical centers, including Qalbi, Imam Khomeini (RA) and Shariati hospitals. The “Aspect General” device was also recently installed in Shariati Hospital and is used daily by patients.
