Iran vice president underlines need to focus on manpower-based economy

Iran’s vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy has underlined the significance of attention to a manpower-oriented economy for strong presence in international export markets.

Rouhollah Dehghani said in a gathering of exporters of information technology and digital content that an inclusive infrastructure should be created for interaction of all manpower operatives and to facilitate support for the sector.

This, he said, needs a working group, consisting of all key knowledge-based and technological operatives in the fields of software and digital economy, to be established to monitor needs, table proposals and outline the road ahead to support manpower operatives.

Dehghani said his department will, in turn, seriously follow up on the expansion of the manpower arena by the working group.

According to the official, an objective is to bring together the different pieces of digital and software economy toward specific economic targets including a market value of one billion dollars and creation of 10,000 jobs over a five-year period.

Dehghani also underlined the necessity of formation of and support for major and prestigious companies in the field of manpower to have a say on the international stage in terms of creation of jobs and added value and to be able to compete with international rivals.
