Iran holds investment boot camp at Kenya-based iHiT

The Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) in Kenya hosted an investment boot camp, titled ‘Beyond the Borders,’ on April 8, with the support of the Center for International Scientific and Technological Exchanges, to present the startup ecosystem of Iran and Kenya and pave the way for exports of Iranian products.

According to the iHiT, the event, held under the motto of ‘Beyond the Borders,” was an opportunity for growth and going from a start-up to a scale-up.
It was staged in three phases with the participation of instructors, mentors, and Iranian and international investors.
Efforts were made during the event to set the stage for the participating start-ups to get to know the latest international standards in the field of investment and provide them with the opportunity to attract international investors, the report said.
The areas of smart manufacturing, E-commerce, logistics tracking, FinTech, AgriTech, and technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (namely blockchain, smart intelligence, Internet of things, augmented reality, industrial smartization, and 3D print) were covered by the event as joint capacities in the startup ecosystem of Iran and Kenya.
The main audiences of the investment boot camp are those active in the field of start-up who have presented their products as MVPs (minimum viable products) and are expanding the investment market.
