Official report: Technology and innovation ecosystem playing key role in Iran’s progress

As Iran marks the Government week, a report has been released on the Iranian administration’s performance over the past year, elaborating on different aspects of its capabilities and achievements made in various fields.

The report especially shines a light on a set of serious efforts exerted by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology to develop the country’s technology and innovation ecosystem, the outcome of which has been a growing trend in the Iranian economy, with the participants in the field — including the knowledge-based and innovative companies — playing an effective role in the process.
Thanks to the support of the Vice Presidency, the growth of these companies gathered pace and further paved the way for the country’s development and progress.

In turn, the Iranian administration contributed to the development of knowledge-based and innovative firms by setting up a taskforce for directing knowledge-based plans.
Among the administration’s steps have been participation in scientific, knowledge-based and creative circles as well as constant presence among the country’s young and elite human resources and benefiting from their views in running the affairs.
Meanwhile, the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology placed on agenda a series of activities, including attracting related ministries for participation in implementing the slogan of the year (set by Iran’s Leader for promoting knowledge-based production and job-creation) and intensifying efforts related to the law of support for knowledge-based companies and institutions.
