Iran’s acting VP for science and technology: Creation and transformation of national innovation system begins in market 

Iran’s Acting Vice President for Science and Technology Ruhollah Dehghani describes the market as the most important agent for transformation in the national innovation system and for promotion of the knowledge-based economy. He was speaking at the third exhibition of Khorasan Razavi Province’s knowledge-based companies.

Dehghani added that the key need is not only knowledge-based companies but also knowledge-based economy and that means using potential markets and helping link the creativity, innovation and technology of these companies to industries and the market. He noted that all influential bodies need to pave the way for those working in the field of technology and innovation ecosystem. The capital of the province is home to the creative and educated youth who can create transformation. 

The acting vice president went on to say that Iran’s innovation system must undergo a revolution and start moving in the market. He then spoke about knowledge-based companies in Khorasan Razavi Province. Dehghani described the Qods Razavi Foundation as a national, Islamic and spiritual asset, adding that its support for knowledge-based companies is a symbolic and transformative move. The vice president said if Iran can promote the culture of investment by endowments in the knowledge-based sector, the country will witness a leap in the growth of knowledge-based economy.
