Iranian VP hails performance of Iran’s nanotechnology development organization

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Rouhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi says the country needs to develop nanotechnology using an efficient and smart model. He made the comment during a visit to the nanotechnology development center where he held talks with the managers of the organization.

Dehghani Firouzabadi described the headquarters’ performance as good.

He advised the managers to use this model for technology development and define all legal and support mechanisms of the organization.

The vice president added that the nanotechnology development center should focus on entering the power-generating field and only manage other executive areas.

Dehghani Firouzabadi also urged the headquarters to make efforts to find technological challenges and help the office of the vice president use strategic technologies to resolve problems.

Meanwhile, Saeed Sarkar, director of the nanotechnology development center, gave a report on the activities of the organization to Dehghani Firouzabadi.

Sarkar said, “Over the past few years, we have set our main goal to increase people’s welfare and generate wealth from science and technology.”

He stressed that the headquarters is seeking to enable students in the field to launch their own start-ups and knowledge-based companies.
