Iran opens Quantum Science and Technology School

Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi has inaugurated the Quantum Science and Technology School at the country’s prestigious Sharif University of Technology in Tehran.

The project is aimed at speeding up research and development of advanced technologies in the field of microelectronics, new sensors and actuators, biological micro-scale systems and biotechnological products.

During the event, the vice president said Sharif University is a recognized national and international brand, and that it has always been an enemy target due to its influential role in the Iranian society.

He pointed to a law recently adopted in Iran, titled “A Leap in Knowledge-based Production,” saying, “With the help of this law, we should make great accomplishments.”
